Ghanaian tourism entrepreneur Mary Nyamekye Asamoah has received the Africa Travel 100 Tour Operators Award 2026 at the 22nd Akwaaba African Travel Market in Nigeria.
Presented on October 15, 2026, the award recognised her contributions to travel, tourism and aviation, including her work in professional training and promoting travel within Africa.
Asamoah is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Spotless Travel and Tours and the Spotless Aviation and Professional Training Institute. Her career began as a cabin crew member with Starbow Airline before she moved into tourism entrepreneurship and aviation education.
Through Spotless Travel and Tours, she has organised individual and group trips across African destinations, helping travellers explore the continent and supporting cross-border tourism.
Her training institute focuses on preparing young Ghanaians for opportunities in travel, aviation and hospitality. A distinctive feature of the institution is its use of an actual aircraft as both an office and a practical learning space, giving students exposure to an aviation environment.
The award highlights Asamoah’s work across tourism services and skills development, bringing continental recognition to her efforts to connect travel opportunities with professional training.
