MTN Ghana has announced that all its service centers across the country will be temporarily closed to walk-in customers on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
The announcement confirms that reports about the one-day closure are genuine and not merely an unverified social media claim.
Customers who planned to visit an MTN branch on Saturday have been advised to postpone their visits or use the telecommunications company’s approved digital support channels.
The temporary closure applies to physical service centers nationwide. It does not mean that MTN’s telecommunications network, data services or Mobile Money platform will be shut down.
Customers should therefore continue to have access to regular voice, internet and digital services unless the company issues a separate technical notice.
MTN Ghana offers several alternatives through which customers can request assistance without visiting a branch. Subscribers may contact the company through its toll-free customer-care number by dialing 100.
Customers can also reach MTN through its official WhatsApp support number, 0554300000, or contact the verified @MTNGhana and @AskMTNGhana accounts on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Other official support options include the MyMTN app, Ayoba, Facebook and email at customercare.GH@mtn.com.
Customers are advised to rely on MTN Ghana’s official platforms for updates and avoid confusing the physical closure with a suspension of network or Mobile Money services.
Those requiring in-person assistance should confirm the operating hours of their preferred service center before travelling. MTN Ghana contact information, closure report
