Opare Addo calls for stronger collaboration with Parliament on youth development

The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, has called for stronger collaboration between his Ministry and Parliament to improve opportunities for young people across the country.

According to him, regular engagement with the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth and Sports is important for reviewing the progress of youth-focused programmes, addressing challenges and improving the implementation of government initiatives.

Mr Opare Addo made the call when he received members of the Committee at the Ministry on Wednesday, October 7, 2026.

The meeting focused on the Ministry’s programmes, achievements and priorities for youth development.

The Minister thanked the Committee for its continued interest in youth development and stressed the need for sustained cooperation among state institutions.

He said such collaboration would help ensure that government policies and programmes effectively respond to the needs, concerns and aspirations of Ghana’s young people.
