More than 2,000 local and international investors, diplomats, policymakers and business leaders are expected to attend the maiden edition of the Invest Ghana Summit (IGS), scheduled for November 16 and 17 at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.
The summit is being organised by the Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) under the patronage of President John Dramani Mahama.
It will be held on the theme, “Investing in Ghana’s New Economy: Building a Productive Economy that Creates Value and Competes Globally.”
The two-day event is expected to showcase Ghana’s investment opportunities, including recent economic reforms and opportunities created through the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The summit will connect investors with viable projects and investment opportunities across various sectors and regions of the country.
It will also provide Ghanaian businesses and project promoters with an opportunity to engage directly with investors, financiers and technical partners, as well as policymakers, regulators and investment facilitation institutions.
According to GIPA, follow-up engagements will be organised to help turn discussions held at the summit into concrete partnerships and investment projects.
A major focus will be opportunities identified through GIPA’s Investment Opportunities Mapping Project (IOMP), as well as initiatives under the government’s 24-Hour Economy agenda.
The summit will also highlight opportunities for investors to access regional markets through the AfCFTA.
The Invest Ghana Summit will be followed by the 22nd Ghana Club 100 Awards on November 18, 2026, at the Palms Convention Centre in Accra.
The awards are GIPA’s flagship corporate recognition programme and will honour leading Ghanaian companies for excellence, innovation, growth and contributions to national economic development.
GIPA says companies from various sectors have submitted a strong number of entries, reaffirming the awards’ position as a major corporate ranking and recognition platform since its establishment in 1998.
Speaking at the media launch of the Invest Ghana Summit and the 22nd Ghana Club 100 Awards, the Chief Executive Officer of GIPA, Simon Madjie, said the summit comes at an important time as Ghana seeks to strengthen its position as a preferred investment destination in Africa.
He said ongoing economic reforms, industrialisation initiatives, the implementation of the AfCFTA and new opportunities under the government’s growth agenda are creating a new investment narrative for the country.
