A phone dealer at Kwame Nkrumah Circle, Nana Yaw Kyere, popularly known as Terry Dinero, has reportedly been found dead in Teshie, days after he went missing while on a business trip to the area.
Kyere’s body was reportedly discovered in Teshie on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with a relative confirming the development.
The relative said there were indications that an attempt had been made to set the body on fire, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
The body has since been deposited at a morgue as the Police investigate the circumstances surrounding his death.
Kyere reportedly travelled to Teshie in his Honda Civic to meet a friend and complete a phone transaction. However, he did not return home after the trip.
His disappearance raised concerns among his family, friends and fellow traders, particularly after a series of unusual messages were sent from his WhatsApp account around midnight on Sunday.
According to an associate, one of the messages claimed that Terry had been “set up” by a girl in a room at Teshie. The message was reportedly accompanied by a photograph of the room and Terry’s live location.
The associate, however, became suspicious because the language and style of the messages did not appear to be consistent with Terry’s usual way of communicating.
At about 3:00 a.m., another message was reportedly sent from Terry’s phone claiming that he had been released.
The situation became more suspicious when the associate later discovered that both the photograph of the room and the live location shared during the earlier exchange had been deleted from the WhatsApp conversation.
Terry’s family subsequently confirmed that he had not returned home after travelling to Teshie. Attempts to reach him by phone were also unsuccessful.
Three suspects have reportedly been arrested in connection with his disappearance as investigators work to establish what happened between the time he travelled to Teshie and the discovery of his body.
His death has shocked relatives, friends and fellow phone dealers at Circle, who are now seeking answers about his disappearance and the circumstances surrounding his death.
The reported attempt to burn his body is also expected to form part of the ongoing Police investigation
