Police Arrest Two Suspects Over Killing of Female Pragya Rider

The Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects in connection with the killing of a female commercial tricycle rider and the theft of her vehicle at Afrancho.

The suspects have been identified as Peter Nchor Asadigina, 21, and Mudasel Dramani, 19. Police arrested them on Friday, October 30, 2026, at Hansua in the Bono East Region following a tip-off.

Alleged Attack

According to preliminary police investigations, the two suspects hired the rider at Ampabame Lorry Station in Kumasi on Thursday, October 29, and asked her to transport them to Afrancho.

Police allege that the suspects attacked and killed the woman after reaching their destination before taking away her green Bajaj tricycle.

Investigators say the suspects were travelling towards Techiman when they were arrested. They allegedly intended to relocate and use the tricycle for commercial activities.

Items Recovered

A search following the arrests led to the recovery of a number plate and eight mobile phones, including an iPhone 12 Pro suspected to belong to the deceased.

Police also retrieved three SIM cards, a MiFi device, a bunch of keys, two lighters and a jackknife cover.

The woman’s body has been deposited at a mortuary for preservation and an autopsy. The suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue.
