President Mahama Donates Medical and Sanitation Supplies to 37 Military Hospital

President John Dramani Mahama, who is also the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), has donated assorted medical and sanitation items to the 37 Military Hospital to support healthcare delivery and improve the welfare of patients at the facility.

The items were presented on Friday, July 10, 2026, during a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the hospital’s Trauma Surgical and Emergency Unit (TSEU).

The donation included boxes of Kleesoft washing powder, gallons of liquid soap, packs of Softcare baby diapers, gallons of Parazone disinfectant, boxes of bar soap and gallons of antiseptics. The supplies are expected to enhance hygiene standards and support patient care at the hospital, one of Ghana’s leading referral and military healthcare institutions.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Deputy Chief of Staff Medical of the Ghana Armed Forces, Major General Evelyn Vivian Abraham-Kwabiah, expressed appreciation to President Mahama for the gesture. She said the donation would contribute significantly to the hospital’s efforts to provide quality healthcare services to members of the armed forces, their families and the general public.

Major General Abraham-Kwabiah assured that the items would be effectively utilised to improve patient care, strengthen sanitation practices and maintain the high standards of hygiene expected at the facility.

The presentation was attended by the Service Chiefs and senior officers of the Ghana Armed Forces, who joined President Mahama in emphasising the importance of supporting institutions that contribute to protecting the health and well-being of Ghanaians.
