Tetracore Energy Group has surpassed one million cumulative work hours without recording a lost-time injury, fatality, permanent disability, restricted work case or occupational illness.
The Nigerian integrated energy company said the milestone reflects the operational discipline and safety standards maintained by its employees, contractors and partners while executing increasingly complex projects.
President and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Olakunle Williams described the achievement as the result of a collective commitment to protecting workers across the company’s operations.
According to him, Tetracore’s “Goal Zero” approach places safety and operational excellence at the centre of the company’s expansion across the gas and power sectors.
The milestone comes as Tetracore scales up its energy infrastructure portfolio in Nigeria and other parts of West Africa.
The company has commenced commercial power generation and distribution under the first phase of its 100-megawatt Atakobo Independent Power Generation and Distribution System in Ogun State.
The project currently delivers 20 megawatts of electricity and is supported by approximately 80 kilometres of 33-kilovolt transmission and distribution infrastructure.
Tetracore is also developing a 60-megawatt gas-fired independent power project in Nasarawa State. The facility is designed to expand gradually to between 120 and 150 megawatts.
Beyond power generation, the company is extending its gas distribution, compressed natural gas and AutoGas infrastructure across Lagos, Ogun and Edo states. It is also pursuing a strategic expansion into neighbouring Ghana.
Tetracore has strengthened its quality, environmental and occupational safety systems through several international certifications.
The company has received ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management, ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management and ISO 45001:2018 for occupational health and safety across its Nigerian facilities and operations.
It has also completed an EcoVadis sustainability assessment, receiving recognition for its structured approach to environmental, social and governance management.
Tetracore said it would continue to treat workplace safety as a central part of its strategy as it expands access to cleaner and more cost-effective energy solutions across West Africa.
