The Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, Frank Annoh-Dompreh, has presented food and essential supplies to the Nsawam Medium Security Prison during a visit that also included checking on former NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.
Accompanied by constituency executives, the Minority Chief Whip visited the facility on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. The donation included rice, maize, gari, sugar, milk, bottled water and soap to help meet inmates’ daily needs.
Annoh-Dompreh said supporting the prison formed part of his humanitarian and public service responsibilities, particularly because the institution falls within his constituency.
He acknowledged that the donation could not address every challenge facing the facility but expressed hope that it would supplement existing provisions. He also urged prison administrators to ensure the supplies reached the intended beneficiaries.
A Ghana Prisons Service representative received the items and thanked the MP on behalf of the Director-General, the Eastern Regional Command, prison staff and inmates. The official expressed appreciation for his concern and support for those in custody.
