UK-based Ghanaian gospel musician Alex Acheampong is set to release a new single, Nyame Baako Pɛ, featuring gospel singer Obaapa Christie, on Friday, October 16, 2026.
The song, whose Akan title translates as “Only One God,” will be available on digital streaming platforms worldwide.
According to Acheampong, the track celebrates God’s sovereignty and encourages believers to remain grounded in their faith amid life’s pressures and distractions.
He explained that the inspiration came from a desire to remind listeners of God’s enduring authority, offering a message of reassurance through worship.
The collaboration brings Obaapa Christie’s distinctive vocals and passionate delivery to the recording. Acheampong said her contribution complemented the song’s message and added energy to its musical arrangement.
The release continues his commitment to producing gospel music that draws on Ghanaian traditions while embracing contemporary production. His approach combines songs of praise with messages intended to encourage listeners in their daily lives.
Promotion for Nyame Baako Pɛ will include an official music video, radio appearances and digital campaigns targeting audiences in Ghana and the diaspora.
