Ghana’s comedy industry is set to celebrate its brightest talents as the nominees for the 2026 Ghana Comedy Awards have been announced, with popular comic figures including Ebo Noah, Asafo Powers, and Jerry Hay among those recognized.
Organized by Creative Republic Limited, the prestigious awards ceremony is scheduled for August 1, 2026, at the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Accra, bringing together comedians, entertainers, and industry stakeholders to honor excellence in Ghanaian comedy.
Ebo Noah Nominated for Alternative Comic Act Category
Content creator Ebo Noah earned a nomination in the Alternative Comic Act category, which celebrates entertainers who use unconventional styles and creative approaches to comedy.
He will compete alongside a diverse group of personalities, including musicians Shatta Wale and Kofi Kinaata, as well as Bukom Banku, Broda Sammy, Prophet Kumchacha, and Oheneni Adazoa.
Competition Intensifies for Most Popular Comedian
The Most Popular Comedian category features some of Ghana’s biggest comedy names, highlighting the strong competition within the industry.
