Family Confirms Death of Nigerian Gospel Singer Toluwanisings

Gospel Singer Toluwanisings

Nigerian gospel singer Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings, has died, his family has confirmed.

In a statement shared on his social media accounts on Wednesday night, the family said the gospel minister passed away in the early hours of October 14, 2026.

The announcement identified him with the Toluwani Gospel Music Ministry (TOGOMM) and appealed for prayers for his wife, relatives and loved ones. Funeral arrangements will be communicated later.

The confirmation followed hours of uncertainty as reports of his death circulated online. Some fellow ministers, including Woli Agba, had earlier encouraged followers to continue praying, expressing hope that the singer was still alive.

Tributes have since emerged from fans, colleagues and other public figures mourning his passing. Lawyer Pelumi Olajengbesi was among those who expressed grief over the news.

The family’s statement did not disclose a medical cause of death. Accounts circulating about his final moments have not been confirmed by the family.

Toluwanisings, a singer and songwriter from Osun State, was known for his worship music and live ministrations. His death comes months after he and members of his team reportedly survived a road accident while returning from a church engagement in July 2026.
