Fidelity Bank Ghana has hosted a comprehensive mentorship masterclass for contestants of the 69th Miss Ghana 2026 pageant, equipping the participants with essential skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability.
The training session, held at the bank’s head office in Accra, was organized under the theme “Empowering Women, Enduring Legacy” and focused on preparing the contestants to become financially independent leaders capable of creating meaningful social impact.
The initiative aligns with the pageant’s Beauty With A Purpose vision, which encourages contestants to develop community-focused projects that address social challenges.
Promoting Financial Confidence and Independence
A major focus of the masterclass was shifting the conversation around pageantry from appearance alone to long-term empowerment and strategic independence.
Miss Ghana Chairperson Inna Patty highlighted the importance of financial confidence, emphasizing that effective leadership requires a combination of intellect, passion, and strong financial management skills.
She noted that contestants leading social impact projects must understand how to manage resources, build sustainable initiatives, and create lasting change within their communities.
Executives from Fidelity Bank’s Orange Women’s Network also provided guidance on:
- Personal financial discipline
- Wealth management strategies
- Business ethics
- Building sustainable financial habits
Creating Funding Opportunities for Women Entrepreneurs
Fidelity Bank used the platform to introduce contestants to funding opportunities available to young women seeking to start or expand businesses.
The bank outlined several initiatives designed to address challenges surrounding access to startup capital.
Concessionary Loans for Women-Led Businesses
The bank highlighted special soft loan opportunities aimed at helping young women entrepreneurs grow their businesses while benefiting from flexible financing options.
Green Tech Innovation Challenge
Contestants were introduced to Fidelity Bank’s sustainability-focused funding initiative supporting environmentally friendly ventures.
The program has already supported 16 agricultural businesses with a combined investment of GH¢1.02 million over the past year.
Orange Inspire Creative Challenge
The bank also showcased its support for Ghana’s creative economy through the Orange Inspire Creative Challenge, which provides funding opportunities for entrepreneurs in areas such as:
- Fashion
- Creative arts
- Content creation
The initiative has awarded GH¢550,000 in grants to finalists.
Six-Month Entrepreneurship Mentorship
Beyond financial assistance, Fidelity Bank emphasized the importance of knowledge and professional guidance.
Contestants and entrepreneurs can benefit from a six-month mentorship program that connects business owners with experienced professionals across various industries.
Teaching Environmental Responsibility
Sustainability was another key component of the mentorship session, with contestants learning how individuals, businesses, and communities can adopt environmentally responsible practices.
One highlighted initiative was Fidelity Bank’s internal “Waste-to-Cash” system, which demonstrates how organizations can reduce waste while creating value.
Through the program, archived corporate paper is recycled and converted into products such as toilet rolls, helping reduce paper waste and lower operational costs.
Building Future Female Leaders
The mentorship session reflects a broader commitment by Fidelity Bank to support women’s empowerment and leadership development in Ghana.
By combining financial education, entrepreneurship training, and sustainability awareness, the bank aims to equip young women with practical tools to create economic opportunities and contribute to national development.
Miss Ghana 2026 Partnership
The 69th Miss Ghana pageant is organized by Exclusive Events Ghana, with support and collaboration from major media and corporate partners, including Multimedia Ghana and Fidelity Bank Ghana.
Through initiatives such as this masterclass, the pageant continues to expand its role beyond entertainment by promoting leadership, social responsibility, and empowerment among young Ghanaian women.
