Joe Mettle to Headline PRESEC Bonfire Night Celebrating Ninth NSMQ Title

Joe Mettle Performing Live

Award-winning gospel musician Joe Mettle will lead performances at the 2026 Ɔdadeɛ Torch & Bonfire Night as Presbyterian Boys’ Secondary School, Legon, celebrates its record-extending ninth National Science and Maths Quiz title.

Organized by the PRESEC Old Boys’ Association, known as Ɔdadeɛ, the event is scheduled for Friday, October 30, at the PRESEC School Park. Activities will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Dubbed the “ADO9 Edition,” the celebration will bring together alumni, current students and members of the public for an evening of thanksgiving, music and fellowship.

Joe Mettle will be joined by celebrated gospel trio Daughters of Glorious Jesus. Their performances will anchor a live gospel concert, placing thanksgiving at the center of this year’s gathering.

The program will also offer former students an opportunity to reconnect and share school memories, with the traditional lighting of the bonfire serving as a major highlight.

Held under the theme “The flame burns. The legacy lives. ADO9 awaits,” the event will honor PRESEC’s latest quiz achievement while celebrating the bonds connecting generations of students.

The association has invited its worldwide alumni community and the public to join the school in marking the milestone.
