The family of the late Prophet Prince Elisha Kofi Osei has announced the date and program for his final funeral rites, six months after his passing.
The 46-year-old preacher, widely known as Pastor Prince, will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Accra.
According to the funeral announcement, there will be no wake-keeping.
The lying-in-state will be held at the Central Band, Police Depot, Tesano, where relatives, church members, fellow ministers and members of the public will have an opportunity to pay their final respects.
A burial and commendation service will follow at the same venue from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
After the public service, the late prophet will be interred during a private ceremony reserved for the family and invited guests.
The final funeral rites will continue at the Central Band, Police Depot, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Mourners attending Saturday’s ceremonies have been asked to wear black and white.
A thanksgiving service will be held the following day, Sunday, September 20, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Grace Family Church International at Pigfarm, near Ebony Hotel.
The prescribed dress code for the thanksgiving service is all white.
Prophet Prince Elisha Kofi Osei died on Friday, February 13, 2026. News of his passing generated an outpouring of grief from members of Ghana’s Christian community and followers of his ministry.
He was the founder and leader of Springs of Grace Executive Fellowship and Pastor Prince Ministries International.
Through his ministry, he attracted a devoted following and became known for his preaching, prayer programs and spiritual gatherings.
The months between his passing and the funeral announcement allowed his family, church leadership and other stakeholders to conclude the necessary arrangements for his burial.
The family expressed appreciation to church members, religious leaders, friends and sympathizers who supported them with prayers and messages of condolence during the mourning period.
Prophet Elisha is survived by his widow, Mrs. Joyleen Osei, and his mother, Grace Osei Essel.
The funeral ceremonies are expected to bring together relatives, congregants, ministers of the gospel and admirers to honor his life and contribution to Christian ministry.
