The Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, Simon Akibange Aworigo, has encouraged students of Our Lady of Lourdes (O.L.L.) Girls’ Senior High School to pursue ambitious goals and remain committed to their education as a pathway to success.
Speaking as the guest speaker at the second edition of the “A Voice 4 Her Mentorship Series,” Mr. Aworigo engaged the students in an inspiring discussion focused on leadership, self-confidence, and the importance of empowering young women to reach their full potential.
During the mentorship session, the lawmaker urged the students to stay focused on their academic pursuits while preparing themselves for future opportunities. He emphasized that determination, discipline, and a strong educational foundation are key ingredients for personal and professional success.
The event was well received by the students, many of whom described the session as inspiring and highly motivating, with valuable lessons on building confidence and aspiring to leadership roles.
The mentorship programme forms part of Mr. Aworigo’s broader commitment to improving education in the Navrongo Central Constituency. Over the years, he has supported students through scholarship initiatives, the donation of educational materials and equipment, and the organization of the annual Aworigo Essay Competition, which encourages academic excellence and critical thinking among young people.
