Police Arrest Two Suspects Over Killing of Yidani Chief

Police have arrested two men in connection with the killing of the newly enskinned Chief of Yidani, Naa Ntimla Nwenisim, and his son, Ntimla Bilaga.

The suspects have been identified as 25-year-old Majejiba Magne and 34-year-old Haruna Nlegle. They were arrested following intelligence gathered by the police.

According to preliminary police investigations, the attackers entered the chief’s compound and asked to be taken to his room.

When their request was reportedly refused, the attackers allegedly fired a shot into the roof of a nearby room before forcing their way into the chief’s room.

Police say the attackers then opened fire on the chief and his son, killing both men.

The two suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.

Police are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the killings and determine whether other people were involved in the attack.
