Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa

President John Dramani Mahama has publicly praised the Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister of State, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, describing him as one of the most hardworking and results-driven members of his administration.

The President made the remarks during his tour of the Volta Region, where he commissioned a number of development projects and highlighted the contributions of key government officials in advancing his administration’s national development agenda.

Mahama Highlights Ablakwa’s Performance

While addressing residents and traditional leaders during the regional tour, President Mahama commended Ablakwa for his commitment, consistency, and hands-on approach to public service.

The President said the minister’s dedication to delivering government program, particularly in the areas of education, infrastructure development, and social interventions, had made him a valuable member of the government’s leadership team.

Mahama noted that Ablakwa’s ability to remain actively engaged with communities while pushing national initiatives demonstrated the kind of leadership expected from public officials.

Commitment to Development Projects

President Mahama specifically highlighted Ablakwa’s efforts in supporting and accelerating development projects aimed at improving the lives of citizens.

Among the areas where Ablakwa has been recognized for his work are:

  • Supporting educational infrastructure expansion.
  • Advocating for improved social services.
  • Ensuring attention is given to local development priorities.
  • Championing the needs of his constituents and communities across Ghana.

The President described the minister’s approach as focused on delivering tangible results rather than merely holding office.

A Model for Public Service

Mahama presented Ablakwa as an example of effective leadership and encouraged other government officials, as well as young people aspiring to serve the nation, to adopt a similar commitment to duty.

He emphasized that public service requires dedication, accountability, and a willingness to work directly with communities to address their challenges.

According to the President, Ablakwa’s performance reflects the impact that determined and people-focused leadership can have on national development.

Boost to Ablakwa’s Political Standing

The President’s endorsement has generated significant attention within the Volta Region, with local leaders and residents also expressing support for the minister’s work.

Traditional authorities in the region praised both President Mahama and Minister Ablakwa for prioritizing development initiatives, including investments in:

  • Road infrastructure.
  • Healthcare facilities.
  • Educational institutions.
  • Community development projects.

The chiefs noted that continued government attention to these sectors was essential for improving living standards and creating opportunities for residents.

Focus on Regional Development

The recognition of Ablakwa comes as the Mahama administration continues to emphasize infrastructure expansion and social development as key pillars of its governance agenda.

The President’s remarks signal confidence in Ablakwa’s role in helping deliver government commitments and advancing development objectives, particularly in communities that have long called for improved public services.
