Fireboy DML Credits Private Lifestyle for Keeping Him Away From Scandals

Fireboy DML

Nigerian singer Fireboy DML says his decision to keep personal matters out of the public eye has helped him avoid controversies throughout his music career.

The Afrobeats artiste explained that he deliberately shares little about his life beyond music, limiting how much fans and the wider public know about his personality and relationships.

“They don’t know me enough to misunderstand me,” he said, explaining that his reserved approach leaves little personal information available for public discussion.

The Peru hitmaker also said he does not rely on publicity stunts to promote his work. According to him, maintaining a low profile is a conscious choice that shapes how he manages his career and public image.

“I don’t sell my music with gimmicks,” he stated.

His remarks reflect a preference for keeping attention on his music while maintaining boundaries around his private affairs. He presented his limited public exposure as an important factor in what he described as a career without scandals.

Fireboy has previously spoken about the pressures associated with celebrity status. In comments reported in 2021, he warned that fame could affect a person’s mental outlook and stressed the need to remain cautious about its influence.
