Haruna Iddrisu, Ghana’s Minister for Education, has been discharged from the 37 Military Hospital following a road traffic accident earlier this week.

The incident occurred on Thursday along the Bolgatanga–Tumu Road as the Minister and his entourage were travelling to the Upper West Region for official engagements. Reports indicate that the vehicle was involved in a crash during the journey, prompting immediate medical attention.

Mr. Iddrisu was subsequently airlifted to Accra, where he received treatment at the 37 Military Hospital. Medical personnel confirmed that he responded well to treatment and was discharged after doctors determined his condition had stabilized.

In a statement released by his office, the Minister expressed gratitude to the medical team for their professionalism and thanked members of the public for their prayers and well wishes. He has been advised to take a brief period of rest as he continues his recovery. He is expected to resume his duties after completing the recommended recovery period.
