On Sunday, during his ‘Timeless’ concert in Lagos, popular Nigerian afrobeat artist David Adeleke, better known as Davido, narrowly avoided an attack by an unidentified man while performing on stage. The concert, held at Tafawa Belewa Square, was organized to celebrate the success of his fourth studio album, also named ‘Timeless.’
The video on social media shows the attacker pointing at the singer, who seemed prepared to defend himself. Fortunately, the security guards quickly removed the attacker from the stage, allowing the concert to proceed as planned.
It was Davido’s first concert since the unfortunate passing of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in a swimming pool accident last year. The artist’s uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, attended the concert.
