Four-week ultimatum to some 29 squatters

AMAAAAA

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has given a four-week deadline to 29 squatters residing on a plot of land at Mamprobi Sempe to vacate the premises, clearing the path for stall construction.

This decision was made following deliberations with the squatters at the AMA office on Friday, aimed at addressing any concerns or misunderstandings regarding their relocation.

Mayor Elizabeth Kwatsoe Sackey, who led the discussions, emphasized that the new stalls, once built, would enrich the local economy by providing spaces for small businesses and vendors. This initiative aims to stimulate economic activity in the area and aligns with the city’s broader developmental objectives and infrastructure modernization efforts.
