
Kwabena Adu-Boahene, former Director General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), has expressed confidence that he will be exonerated from all charges leveled against him.
Speaking briefly to journalists after his bail hearing in Accra on Friday, March 28, 2025, Adu-Boahene responded with a firm “yes” when asked if he believed he would be cleared of wrongdoing.
During the hearing, the court granted Adu-Boahene’s bail application, reducing his bail amount from GH¢120 million to GH¢80 million. His wife, Angela Adjei Boateng, who is also implicated in the case, had her bail conditions maintained at GH¢80 million, with two sureties to be justified
The couple faces serious charges, including the alleged embezzlement of $7 million intended for a cyber defense system. Prosecutors claim that Adu-Boahene misappropriated the funds and laundered money through real estate investments.
Despite the gravity of the accusations, Adu-Boahene remains resolute in asserting his innocence and is determined to clear his name as the legal process unfolds.
