Let’s promote peace during Eid – Bawumia

In a heartfelt message, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expressed his good wishes and encouraged Muslims worldwide to celebrate Eid in peace. Speaking to the public on Saturday, April 22nd, Dr. Bawumia offered prayers to Almighty Allah, thanking Him for the strength and guidance provided to Muslims during the month-long fasting of Ramadan.

Joined by his wife, Samira Bawumia, in a video, the couple urged Muslims to commemorate the end of Ramadan with love and peace among their loved ones. Dr. Bawumia emphasized the significance of Eid-ul-Fitr as a time for expressing gratitude to Allah for the endurance and spiritual growth experienced during Ramadan; and for promoting peace, love, and brotherhood within families and communities.

Samira Bawumia, the Second Lady, added her wishes for a joyous Eid-ul-Fitr and expressed prayers for Allah’s rewards for the sacrifices and good deeds performed during Ramadan. This fasting month holds special significance for Muslims worldwide, culminating in the much-awaited Eid ul-Fitr feast, which marks the end of Ramadan and is celebrated with great anticipation in the Islamic community.
