The Ghanaian president also emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in agriculture and agribusiness. He pointed to initiatives supported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency that are helping boost rice production and improve food security in Ghana.
President Mahama further highlighted the opportunities for stronger economic partnerships through the African Continental Free Trade Area, whose Secretariat is based in Accra. He noted that Ghana’s position as host of the AfCFTA Secretariat makes the country a strategic hub for production and exports to the wider African market.
He expressed confidence that Ghana’s natural resources and skilled workforce, combined with South Korea’s technological innovation, will continue to strengthen cooperation and promote sustainable growth and shared prosperity for both nations.
