Parliament to convene on 31st October, 2023

Parliament is scheduled to convene on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, marking the beginning of the Third Meeting of the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic.

In a letter dated October 11, sent to Members of Parliament to provide notification, the Clerk to Parliament, Cyril K.O Nsiah, referred to “standing order 32(2) of the Parliament of Ghana” and officially announced the commencement of the session. The letter stated, “I Cyril Kwabena Oteng Nsiah, Clerk to Parliament, hereby notify Hon. Members of Parliament that the third Meeting of the Third Session of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic shall commence on Tuesday, 31st October 2023 at Ten O’Clock in the forenoon at Parliament House, Accra.”

Parliament had previously gone on recess on August 3, 2023.
