The wife of Ghana’s Vice President, Samira Bawumia, has issued a heartfelt plea to the grassroots delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the Ahafo Ano North, South East, and South West constituencies of the Ashanti Region. She urged them to unite behind a viable candidate, emphasizing that her husband, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is the ideal choice for leading the governing NPP and ensuring success in the upcoming elections.

Mrs. Bawumia stressed that having Dr. Bawumia as the leader of the NPP is the most promising path to achieving the party’s goal of breaking the two-term governance cycle and securing a victory in 2024. She reminded delegates of the importance of selecting a strong candidate, as a capable leader is essential for winning elections.

Having visited several constituencies, Mrs. Bawumia expressed her belief that Dr. Bawumia is a natural leader born to serve his country. She highlighted that the special delegates’ congress held on August 26, 2023, has already indicated the party’s direction, with Dr. Bawumia being the chosen candidate.

She called on the party’s delegates to ensure a resounding victory for the Vice President on November 4, assuring them that their concerns will be a top priority when the party wins the 2024 general elections.

Accompanying Mrs. Bawumia were various party members, including Dr. Nana Ayew, the Ashanti regional Campaign coordinator for Team DMB, and high-profile party officials such as the 1st and 2nd Vice chairpersons of the party in the region, Patrick Acheampong and Victoria Owusu Achiaw, along with the Regional Communication Director, Paul Kwabena Yandoh.
