Award-winning rapper Sarkodie has finally broken his silence, but contrary to expectations, he did not address the recent revelation about an abortion with actress Yvonne Nelson in her book, “I am not Yvonne Nelson.” Instead, the renowned rapper chose to pay a heartfelt tribute to his late lawyer, Cynthia Quarcoo, who passed away on June 21. The news of Cynthia Quarcoo’s demise, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry and founder of Africa One Media, garnered significant attention on social media.

Taking to Facebook on June 22, Sarkodie, who is currently abroad, reminisced about his close bond with the deceased. He expressed how their paths seemed destined to cross, as Cynthia displayed an uncanny knowledge of his life from the very beginning. Sarkodie affectionately referred to her as “Mama Cee” and recalled that they had been inseparable since their initial encounter. Overwhelmed with cherished memories, Sarkodie acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead in coping with her loss. He also expressed admiration for Cynthia’s strength and revealed his surprise at not receiving any communication from her during her illness, as she typically would have been the first to reach out and tease him.

In the tribute, Sarkodie reflected on Cynthia’s departure, emphasizing her unique and characteristic style. While acknowledging the difficulty faced by all those who loved her, he highlighted that such pain is a testament to the depth of their affection. Sarkodie shared how he grew concerned upon seeing the double blue ticks on his WhatsApp message to her without a response. It was then that he received the heartbreaking news of her passing. He found it unusual not to have heard from her over the past few days since she would typically be the first to check in on him and exchange banter.

Closing his tribute, Sarkodie acknowledged the need for strength, recognizing that it is what Cynthia would have wanted for everyone. He extended his condolences to Cynthia’s family, friends, and especially her children.
