Crystal Palace Football Club manager Roy Hodgson has officially declared Jordan Ayew’s readiness for selection in the upcoming English Premier League match. Hodgson made this announcement during a press conference held in anticipation of Palace’s league fixture against Fulham scheduled for Saturday, September 27 at 14:00 GMT.
Jordan Ayew, the Ghanaian forward, had sustained an injury during the team’s previous match, a 1-3 loss to Aston Villa, which had forced him to exit the game prematurely in the 25th minute. Palace’s assistant manager, Paddy McCarthy, had initially reported that Ayew suffered from a dead leg, but further tests were required to ascertain the full extent of the injury.
However, in preparation for the upcoming game, Roy Hodgson has now confirmed that Ayew has recuperated from the injury and is ready to participate against Fulham. Additionally, defender Marc Guehi is also fit for selection, having recovered from an injury sustained while playing for England. Nevertheless, Michael Olise and Mathues Franca will not be available for this match. Hodgson stated, “Jordan is fine – he took a nasty blow, it gave him a dead leg but he trained fine, yes but we have also recovered Marc Guéhi as well, who picked up an injury playing for England. That has recovered well.”
