Accra Floods: Commuters struggling to Navigate through Traffic and Flooded Areas

flood

After the heavy rainfall on Wednesday, June 21, certain areas of Accra, the nation’s capital city, have experienced flooding.

The Ofankor Barrier, Taifa Junction, Achimota, and other locations partially submerged due to the six-hour downpour.

Commuters need help navigating through the flooded areas. Numerous vehicles have been submerged, particularly in Taifa.

One side of the road is completely inundated, leading to motorists using only one lane.
Heavy traffic has ensued, compelling commuters to disembark from their vehicles and proceed on foot to their respective destinations.

Some commuters have collaborated to walk through the flooded areas to safeguard themselves from the floodwaters and prevent being swept away.
