African Americans encouraged to visit Ghana once in lifetime

ds

A delegation of African Americans visiting Ghana is encouraging all members of the black diaspora to make a pilgrimage to Africa to learn about their ancestral homeland’s cultural, educational, and historical values. The group believes educating their children about the connection between Africa and the diaspora is crucial. Patricia Lawton, CEO of Quansah Travel and Tours, partnered with Kaya Tours and Bays Lodge Hotel to facilitate the trip. During their stay, Bays Lodge Hotel and Kaya Tours hosted the US team and treated them to an African Cultural Night showcasing Ghana’s cultural and creative talents.

The group enjoyed the hospitality and decided to travel to Ghana to reconnect with their roots and learn more about the continent. Their goal is to ensure Ghana’s rapid development and support the country’s growth. Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey, CEO of Kaya Tours, praised the group for choosing Ghana and vowed to continue encouraging more African Americans to visit historical and cultural sites in Ghana and across the continent. Various performers entertained the delegation, including the Legon Palm Wine Band, Akwaaba Dance Ensemble, and a fashion exhibition dubbed ‘Wear Ghana.’
