Alhaji Mohammed Hardi Tufeirua, the Member of Parliament for Nanton and Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture was involved in an accident. He set out on his usual commute to Parliament to participate in the day’s legislative proceedings. He was looking forward to a busy day, particularly the debates on the three revenue bills scheduled for discussion.
He was keen on ensuring his votes counted in passing the three bills. For that reason, he was driven in an ambulance to parliament to vote, before continuing to the hospital to seek medical attention.
News of the accident quickly spread, and concerned constituents and colleagues from both sides of the political divide reached out to express their sympathy and support for Alhaji Tufeirua.
