Battle for Bakhmut results in heavy casualties

The ongoing battle for control of the town of Bakhmut in eastern Ukraine has resulted in heavy casualties, according to reports from Ukraine and Russia. The town is divided by the Bakhmutka River, with Ukraine controlling the western area and Russia’s Wagner Group controlling the east.
