Black Stars Commence Training Monday

sport

On Monday at 4 pm, Coach Chris Hughton will lead the Black Stars for their inaugural training session at the Accra Stadium. The team’s upcoming match against their counterparts from Madagascar in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier, scheduled for Sunday, June 18, in Antananarivo, is quickly approaching.

In preparation for the qualifier, the 64-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur trainer extended a call-up to 25 players last week. Notable names among the called-up players include skipper Andre Ayew, his brother Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, and the promising young talent Ernest Nuamah, among others.

Having concluded their respective leagues in Europe, all the players have arrived and are currently housed in the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel in Accra. The coach anticipates the full complement of the team to be present when training commences on Monday, as all players have reported to the camp this morning.
