Chris Hughton has offered an apology for Ghana’s disappointing performance against the United States of America. The Ghanaian team suffered a 4-0 defeat to the USA at GEODIS Park in a disastrous match on Tuesday. The US team secured their victory with a brace from Gio Reyna, a Christian Pulisic penalty, and Folarin Balogun’s excellent finish in Nashville, Tennessee.
Hughton, addressing the disappointing result, stated, “I’m very sorry, and I take responsibility for the poor performance against the USA.” Ghana is set to face Madagascar and Comoros in two FIFA World Cup qualifiers in November, and the team will be looking to bounce back from this defeat.
