COP Kofi Boakye retires as he turns 60

Kofi Boakye had a long and successful career that spanned over 3 decades, but on his 60th birthday, he decided it was time to retire. He had dedicated his life to his job and had become an integral part of his organization.

Boakye had started his career as a junior employee, but through hard work, dedication, and commitment, he had risen through the ranks to become one of the most respected and valued members of the Ghana Police Service. He held various positions over the years and had contributed significantly to the growth and success of the Police Service.

He led fellow officers to apprehend armed robbers, such as Ataa Ayi, and musicians, such as Kwaw Kese, Shatta Wale, etc. 

A farewell ceremony held today in his honour saw family, friends, and top security officials, including IGP George Akuffo Dampare in attendance.

As Head of Legal and Prosecution Division of Ghana Police Service, COP Kofi Boakye can retire with a sense of satisfaction and fulfillment, knowing he has done his best for his organization. He left behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and professionalism that will continue to inspire those who knew him for years to come.
