Don Lemon stunned by his termination from CNN

Don Lemon, a longtime host at CNN, has left the network, leaving the media industry shocked and surprised. CNN CEO Chris Licht thanked Lemon for his contributions over the past 17 years and wished him well in his future endeavors. In a memo to staff management, he did not directly inform him.
Lemon, co-host of “CNN This Morning” with Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, expressed his shock at being terminated by CNN, stating he was not directly informed by management and felt he was not given any indication of terminating his work.

However, CNN disputed Lemon’s version of events, stating he was given the opportunity to meet with management, but released a statement on Twitter instead.

Lemon joined CNN in September 2006 and hosted the prime-time show “Don Lemon Tonight” for over eight years, gaining fame for his commentary on the presidency of Donald Trump. He faced criticism for sexist comments he made on “CNN This Morning” in February, where he argued a woman is only considered to be in her prime when in her 20s, 30s, and maybe 40s.

CNN CEO Chris Licht later called the comments “unacceptable,” and Lemon apologized, agreeing to take part in formal training sessions. Earlier this month, allegations of misogyny aimed at female coworkers were published in a report by Variety, which Lemon denied.
