The Electoral Commission (EC) has firmly denied allegations of collusion with any political party to manipulate the upcoming December 7 general elections.

Dr. Serebuor Quaicoe, Head of Training at the EC, dismissed the claims as baseless and reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to independence and integrity.

“Our current electoral system is meticulously designed to prevent any form of manipulation,” Dr. Quaicoe assured, highlighting the robust measures in place to ensure transparency and fairness throughout the electoral process.

He emphasized that the integrity of the elections remains the EC’s highest priority, adding that no political party or individual wields undue influence over the Commission’s operations.

Dr. Quaicoe further stated that rigging an election in Ghana is virtually impossible without the complicity of all stakeholders, including the EC, party agents, and the general public.

The allegations stem from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which has accused the EC of collaborating with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to influence the election results, particularly in the Ashanti Region. The EC has categorically rejected these accusations, assuring the public of its impartiality and commitment to delivering credible elections.
