Electricity supply to Parliament House and Job 600, which houses Members of Parliament’s offices, has been terminated due to an outstanding debt totaling GHc23 million.

The disconnection, executed by the National Taskforce on Thursday, February 29, came after unsuccessful attempts to recover the arrears.

This action aligns with the ongoing “Operation Zero Balance” initiative by the ECG task force, which aims to retrieve unpaid debts from various customers.

This move mirrors a similar disconnection at Accra Academy Senior High School on February 19th when power was cut off due to an outstanding debt of GH¢400,000.
