The presidential aspirant of the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), Mr. John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, has officially named Mr. Elijah Kwame Owusu Danso as his running mate for the 2024 elections. The announcement was made on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, when Mr. Kyerematen presented his nomination papers to Mrs. Jean Adukwei Mensah, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, at its Accra headquarters.
Mr. Owusu Danso, widely recognized for his contributions in corporate management, law, broadcast journalism, and civil society, has a reputation for advocating on behalf of the marginalized and promoting good governance. Known for hosting the talk show Good Morning Africa on Pan African TV, he has emerged as a dynamic youth figure with a strong Pan-Africanist message, calling for African-led governance reforms.
His career has seen collaborations with prominent professionals like Dr. Lloyd Amoah and Dr. Kojo Asante and the founding of the Forum for Accountable Governance (FAG), an organization focused on anti-corruption and human rights. Owusu Danso’s past as a hip-life rapper, known by the stage name “E-Nice,” and his work in the corporate world add to his multifaceted profile.
His selection as a running mate reflects the ARC’s commitment to addressing Ghana’s socio-economic challenges by focusing on improving living standards, creating equal opportunities, and fostering inclusive prosperity.
