Ghanaian gospel musician Noble Nketsiah has alleged that his music career and personal fortunes declined after he refused an invitation to join what he described as an occult group during a critical stage of his ministry.
Speaking in separate interviews on Adom FM and Adom TV, the “Se Me Wo Nka” singer recounted an experience he says occurred shortly after leaving his former record label in 2006.
Alleged Offer Came During Career Transition
According to Nketsiah, the incident took place following his departure from Wayosi Music, when he was seeking to establish the next phase of his gospel music career.
He claimed that three individuals approached him with promises of helping him achieve greater success, including international exposure, global recognition, and significant commercial growth for his ministry.
However, he alleged that accepting the offer came with a condition: he would have to formally join their group and visit what he described as an occult altar.
“I Serve the Most High God”
Nketsiah said he immediately rejected the proposal, citing his Christian faith as the reason for his decision.
“I serve the Most High God, and I could not accept such an offer,” he recalled, explaining that he was unwilling to compromise his beliefs regardless of the potential rewards that had been promised.
Claims of Subsequent Hardships
The gospel musician further alleged that after declining the invitation, he experienced a period of financial difficulties and challenges in sustaining his ministry.
According to his account, the same individuals contacted him again approximately six months later, encouraging him to reconsider their proposal. He claimed they pointed to his ongoing struggles as evidence that he would not achieve success without accepting their offer.
Nketsiah said he refused a second time, despite the challenges he was facing.
Alleged Loss of Support
The singer also claimed that following his repeated rejection, he lost the backing of several key supporters and benefactors who had previously contributed to the growth of his ministry.
While he believes these events negatively affected his career trajectory, Nketsiah maintained that he has no regrets about his decision.
Faith Over Fame
Reflecting on the experience, the gospel artiste said he remains committed to his faith and values, insisting that he would rather accept the opportunities he believes God provides than pursue rapid success through means that conflict with his convictions.
His comments have sparked discussion among fans and the wider public, adding to ongoing conversations about faith, personal beliefs, and the pressures faced by individuals in the entertainment industry.
