Wiyaala made Ghana’s Global Ambassador for Fugu

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has officially named acclaimed Ghanaian musician Wiyaala as Ghana’s Global Ambassador for Fugu at a colourful ceremony held in Funsi in the Upper West Region.

Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, commended Wiyaala for her consistent efforts in promoting Ghanaian culture through her music, fashion and stage performances. She described the singer as a symbol of resilience, pride and inspiration for young people across the country.

The Minister also stressed the need to support made-in-Ghana products, stating that every piece of Fugu reflects the nation’s heritage, identity and strength while creating economic opportunities for local weavers, designers and entrepreneurs.

Speaking after receiving the honour, Wiyaala expressed gratitude for the recognition and pledged to use her new role to showcase Ghanaian culture on the global stage and make the country proud.
