Former Ghanaian footballer Michael Essien, who currently holds a UEFA ‘A’ coaching license and serves as an assistant coach at Danish club FC Nordsjalland, has expressed to a Nigerian journalist that he has no intention of becoming a coach for the Ghana national team in the future.
Nigerian journalist Lolade Adewuyi, who met Essien in Denmark while covering a UEFA Champions League game between Napoli and AC Milan, revealed he asked Essien about his interest in coaching the Black Stars. Essien’s response was negative. Adewuyi shared the information on Twitter and a photo of himself with Essien.
