The Federation of Associations of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE) has extended its congratulations to President John Dramani Mahama on his election victory, commending his commitment to agricultural transformation and boosting export growth.
FAGE acknowledged the pivotal role of President Mahama’s administration in advancing Ghana’s export sector and expressed optimism about the renewed opportunities for growth under his leadership.
“FAGE is actively pursuing bold initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders to significantly grow Ghana’s Non-Traditional Export (NTE) sector,” the statement noted.
“Our strategic objectives include achieving export revenues of US$5 billion by 2027 and US$10 billion by 2029.”
The federation expressed confidence in the new administration’s focus on private sector development and its policy direction, which they believe will create an enabling environment to realize these goals.
FAGE also reaffirmed its commitment to partnering with the government to enhance the country’s export capabilities, foster sustainable employment, and unlock the full potential of Ghana’s agricultural resources.
“We look forward to working closely with the administration to explore opportunities within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and position Ghana as a leading horticultural hub in West Africa,” said FAGE President Davies Korboe.
