Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong has urged Ghanaians to trust Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to protect the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy in the upcoming December elections.
The former New Patriotic Party presidential candidate shared his own story, emphasizing how education transformed his life. He noted that without access to education, he wouldn’t have achieved his current success, and highlighted that some of his former classmates who couldn’t afford further education now face significant challenges.
Speaking in Lapaz, Accra, Agyapong stressed that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its leader, John Dramani Mahama, had previously opposed the Free SHS policy and therefore should not be trusted with its future.
“A party that campaigned against Free SHS can’t be trusted… Vote for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP to safeguard Free SHS,” he emphasized.
