Their immediate objective involved the retrieval of the victims’ bodies from a subterranean tank. Following this, the bodies were respectfully transported to St. Joseph’s Mortuary in Effiduase, situated within the New Juaben North Municipality, for preservation and subsequent autopsy.
In order to uncover the circumstances and reasons behind this tragic incident, the Ghana Police Service has officially initiated an investigation.
Speaking to the media, Yaw Shaiwu-Nkansah, the Eastern Regional Manager of PBC, clarified that the three individuals who tragically suffocated in the reservoir were not employees of their company. Instead, they had a contractual arrangement with PBC to perform maintenance on the reservoir.
