The 29th Ordinary Congress of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is scheduled for July 6, 2023. The Congress will be at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. The decision was reached during an Executive Council meeting held at the GFA headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, as stated in a GFA press release on Thursday.
The scheduling of the Congress aligns with article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes 2019, which mandates the Executive Council to determine the date and venue for the Congress. According to the statutes, the members must be notified in writing at least ten days before the Congress.
As per the GFA Statutes, Congress convenes in an Ordinary Session once every football season, typically before the season starts. The Congress is slated to begin at 9:00 am. The congress agenda will include the Activity Report, Financial Statements, Auditors’ Report, and other pertinent documents.
