GFA fines Asante Kotoko

The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association has fined Asante Kotoko SC GHc80,000 for violating Article 16(c) and Article 16(2)(f) of the GFA Disciplinary Code 2019 during their Premier League Matchday 6 game against Nations FC at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

 

Asante Kotoko SC initially pleaded Not Guilty to the charges, but after reviewing video recordings of the match and reports from match officials, the Disciplinary Committee found the club guilty.

In their decision, the Committee communicated that the total fine would be directed to Nations FC to cover the costs of repairing the damage caused to the Stadium, including broken seats.

 

The GFA Disciplinary Committee has also issued sanctions for various misconduct offenses involving other Clubs, Team Officials, and players, including but not limited to Issah Amadu, Sheriff Mohammed, Bechem United FC, Berekum Chelsea FC, Bibiani Goldstars, Appiah MacCarthy, Aduana FC, Dreams FC, Karela FC, Nsoatreman FC, and RTU FC in their respective matches against different opponents.
