Between January and September 2022, the office of the Presidency spent GH¢15 million on vehicles in its pool. Besides this, the Presidency spent GH₵51,109,137.86 on fuel during the 9-month period. During that period, President Akufo-Addo also made three regional tours at a cost of GH₵16,906,272.45 million.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa of North Tongu revealed this after analyzing presidency documents on expenditures submitted to Parliament.

The 10-item expenditure totaling GHS191,522,061.68, represents only a tiny sampling of the over 250 items included in the Expenditure Documents under scrutiny by Parliament.

In a post on Facebook, Ablakwa criticized the government for mocking measures to save the economy announced by the Finance Minister.
