The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) has announced a substantial disbursement of over GHS 300 million to healthcare facilities across Ghana.
This significant payout covers vetted claims for higher-tier healthcare facilities up until January 2024. For lower-tier facilities, the payments are aligned with the acceptable three-month debt period.
Dr. Da-Costa Aboagye, the Acting Chief Executive of NHIA, expressed gratitude for the cooperation and patience shown by healthcare providers.
He assured them of the NHIA’s ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and timeliness of claims processing and payments.
